It's that time of the year again, and of course, we are always here to hel(p)! Happy Halloween, now let us get back to work, wouldn't want to have too much fun before we go home would we?!

The magic of the movies! Day of the Dead (or Day at the Desk)

Another classic from Romero. I just love the first few minutes of this film. The opening scene is just fantastic. 80's pulsing synth music never sounded so good (So good in fact that Gorrilaz sampled it for the track A1-M1 on their debut album Video here).

That first shot of the zombie you see is fantastic! At first a stumbling shadow, then a blood dripping, jaw dropping (literally) visceral menace makes it's way forward. All done with traditional prosthetic visual effects. More zombies shuffling out of the doorways as they hear the cries of "Hello! Is anyone there?" is so creepy and effective.

The first five minutes are, for us, the highlight of the film and set an eerie tone, all filmed in broad daylight too. It's a shame that was about the best the film got, although production troubles - budgets and artistic vision -  marred the making of this film.

A remake? We've already had one and it was terrible, not to mention any weird semi prequels(!)… so, no thanks, let's keep it to the 80's. As for us Office Zombies, we already have a remake every week day - so, it's back to another Day at the Desk…

Three wise Office Zombies?

It's nearly the Weekend, so I want to see no office, hear no office or speak no office until Monday morning! Wooooo!

Back to work we go. The most rubbish day of the year, and it's only the start.
So, Happy Office Zombies Day, have a lovely fun packed day catching up on all the stuff you put off at the end of last year! It can only get better, can't it? Roll on the weekend.

It's the most wonderful time of the year... unless you are stuck in the office with people who you would much rather kick in the eye (thanks: The Smiths!). Let's raise our glasses to the unsung heroes fighting to go home and celebrate the season to be jolly. Merry Christmas everyone x

The magic of the movies! Dawn of the Day Job

Here's a little homage to probably our favourite Zombie movie ever - Dawn of the Dead.

An absolute Romero classic, full of inspiration, even featuring the Hare Krishna zombie!

Something in this film strikes a chord with us. The undead returning to the shopping mall and going about their daily business (while looking for brains), the quest for survival and the helicopter head-chop scene are just brilliant. Dawn of the Day Job - you need your coffee to survive work.

Office Zombies Athletics

Or... things to do in the office when the sun is out, and the boss is in yet another meeting. Desk Jumping is a particular favourite here at Oz Towers. A twisted ankle, a couple of broken legs, but the only thing left hurting is our pride (sort of)!

Office Zombies Remember: Bob Ross

We love Bob Ross here at Oz Towers... That calming voice, and natural ability to create a painting that our mums would love in about ten minutes made us very happy. Many an hour would disappear as we were taken into Bob's special world.

If only our jobs were as soothing as painting a picture with happy trees and happy clouds, and our mistakes were known as "happy little accidents". Unfortunately at work, our mistakes cost us dearly!
